AMAZING ANIMAL LOVERS BLOG

Hello, I'm Mr. Ed....

Hello Friends,
This is a random post, how many of you remember Mr Ed?  This was an early 1960 sitcom with a talking horse.  I have always liked this show, very simple humor, back to the basics and you don't have to worry who is watching it!  Anyways, to get to my story, one of my very good girl friends, will NOT let her daughter watch this because it is way too chauvinistic!!  I honestly never noticed, but once she said it, yes, the men rule in this show.  The women have to ask and obey...I really never paid much attention to that part, I just liked watching it because of the cars, clothes, furniture, all the vintage stuff...
Well, I hope you enjoy Mr. Ed.
I am still busy at work and having lots of personal issues going on.  Lately all I do is work and have big problems at work (because nobody can follow instructions... LOL) and at home (my 16 year old is getting bullied at school) and I shouldn't even say that on my happy, drama free blog, but I am tearing up at inappropriate places.  My daughter will agree to that!   All my pets are doing great too. So I should be happy!!  Ariel has fallen in the pool again, and survived. LOL  The bunnies are doing great and the cats are happy. Even my horses are happy!  So why am I so emotional, who knows, I just think I am just a tad busy at work and nothing seems to be going the way it should. Welcome to the real world!!
Hopefully, this will be better week!
xxoo

Any mom is going to be emotional if their child is being bullied! This is one of the hardest things to handle. And it doesn't matter if all your pets are healthy or what else good is happening, when your child is having this kind of trouble, you are hurting! I was bullied in school as well. I think most of the sitcoms of this era were chauvinistic!! But they also showed that though the men ruled the roost, the wife was usually smarter and ended up getting what she wanted while still making the man feel he was boss.

Deborah, we're sending you purrs and universal Light. Be kind to yourself and let yourself tear up wherever you have to--it sounds like a difficult, stressful time, just acknowledge that and give yourself the "space" you need to feel your emotions, so they can be released, rather than suppressed.

Peace and Blessings.

we did not notice because that was the world we lived in. and it has changed for the better but I think it went just a little to far. just my opinion. i always loved Archie bunker, but now they are running re-runs and i think WHAT he said that WHY and why did i like it. because we were different people forty years ago. we have made great strides forward in some things and many steps backward in others.

Sounds like you have a lot going on all at the one time. Stay on top of the bully issue - you are your daughter's best defense.

Poor Ariel, hope she stays away from the pool, getting too cold now anyway for a dip:)

Hugs to you and hope things get better.

I'm so sorry to hear your son is getting bullied. That's terrible! :-( I hope that the school are doing something about this. I hope your son is getting the protection he needs and his bullying is not being ignored. Big big hugs!

Awwww the thing about programmes like Mr Ed - it's best not to watch it with 21st century more enlightened eyes! LOL!

Take care

No matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow. There is a purpose for everything. As a mom, I could really feel how much pressure you have but you need to be calm and to be strong. Go!
