AMAZING ANIMAL LOVERS BLOG

Whew, are we lucky!

Shortly after this picture was taken a couple of days ago, Ciara, the bunny went missing. We looked and looked and looked. She was in the big pen outside with Bud the bunny and somehow they got out. Bud stayed around the pen, but Ciara took off. Two days later, my husband was outside brushing Smokes and their she was eating in the pen. I ran upstairs to get the boys because they were looking all day and even at night with flashlights. Ciara was acting like nothing happened and of course we all thought the worse.
All I can say we are very glad she is back (a bunny miracle, perhaps) and no one is admitting to leaving the gate open. I don't think it will happen again!

Oh my goodness Ciara was hopping down some bunny trail having a good old time while you all were worried sick. Thank goodness she is home and safe.

She is very unusual and pretty looking, with the speckling. All the ones around here are the brown wild ones. Yes, I don't think the cage will be left open again. An important lesson learned, and probably good that this happened.

So glad you found her! I had a cat go missing once and had nightmares for months wondering what could have happened to him. Never did find him.

Thanks for the advice about volunteering. I've actually just finished up a volunteer project last month and will be participating on the committee again next year. Never thought to put it on my resume though.

Whew, that was one big collective sigh of relief from us - we are glad she is back. Ciara hopes nobody leaves the gate open here because she doesn't think she knows her way back home:(
