Day three of Chimpanzee facts....

To help save Chimpanzees, during its opening weekend in support of the Jane Goodall Foundation partnership. For every moviegoer who sees CHIMPANZEE during the film’s opening week (April 20-26, 2012), Disneynature will make a donation to JGI through the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund in order to protect chimpanzees and their habitats, now and into the future.

This is totally pawesome!!

CHIMPANZEE  Fact #3: Female chimpanzees give birth to a single infant (twins are rare) every 5 to 6 years. A newborn chimpanzee weighs 3–4 pounds and is born helpless. Within a few days it is able to travel by clinging to its mother’s stomach and by 5 to 7 months old it is strong enough to ride on her back.

Too cute if you ask me...

Buffy: OK, we have a problem here, Lilly, what on earth are you doing outside?  You are an indoor cat, remember?  Mom is going to go banana's (get it, chimpanzees, bananas...) when she finds you...

I am looking for CHIMPANZEE'S....

Hello Friends,

I'm out today on this beautiful Spring day looking for those Chimpanzee's that my mother keeps talking about....but first....Fact #2: Chimpanzee populations live in communities of 15 to 120 individuals. Each community consists of males and females of varying ages that share a territory. Male chimpanzees stay in one community their entire lives. However, females will sometimes leave their mothers and join new communities when they reach adulthood.

Now back to me:  I know I can find a Chimpanzee somewhere!

 Nothing today...maybe tomorrow...

Hello Friends,

Did you know that Chimpanzees are endangered:  Just 100 years ago, roughly 1 million chimpanzees lived in the lush rainforest of equatorial Africa. Today, only 1/10 remain, primarily due to habitat loss and illegal hunting.  Current trends indicate that African ape populations will decline by an additional 80% in the next 30 to 40 years.  CHIMPANZEE the movie, is coming out Friday, April 20th, Earth Day! 

Here's the scoop.... If I run this for five days and you comment, you will be entered to win a prize pack from CHIMPANZEE..I will choose the winner on Friday!  YAH!!!!

Time for dinner!

We have a sea anemone in our salt water tank and we were just told that he would be much happier if we feed him by hand...sooooo, my son feeds him every other day, as instructed.   All you have to do is place a frozen shrimp in the middle of him...then he will close his tentacles around it!

In the picture below, it is all gone!  This took about three minutes at the most.  The other fish will sometimes try to take it but we feed them at the same time to keep them all busy! 

Crazy, he loves it.

So anyone have any good names for him?  I can't come up with one...we call the eel, Neil...sick, but it works!

I'm just a little sleepy...

I'm exhausted...Mom thinks I'm just old and the human kids are telling her to "Do Something"...Mom is sad and say's I'm fine.  Tomorrow, I'm going for my beauty appointment (fur and nails) and I'm hoping I will feel better then.  I am weak and bumping into things, pacing in circles, but I'm still hungry and still love my ears scratched and that makes my Mom happy!!  Her friend thinks I had a stroke, maybe, but I'm old...14 1/2, that makes me about 101 years old in your human years!  So of course I act old!

Hey friends, my human sister just turned 21...Our mom can't believe it!  She keeps saying,

boy, that went fast!! Who's boy???

We had balloons...

 

Mom found this old picture about 20 years old!  

My human sister's first drink at 12:01AM!  hehe...If you believe that, I'm going to tell you 

that my Mom cooks dinner every night too!

Happy Birthday and the reason why I'm telling you, is that I'm her pup!  Our Dad bought me for her when she was 14 years old!
