Happy Saturday everyone!

Hi everyone! I hope your all enjoying your weekend! I just got back from the Lily Club picnic with my Mother! Even the dogs had fun! The cute guy above was looking at the tomato thinking it was a ball! This pretty pink flower is a dahlia.

This garden is huge, the most lilies I've ever seen in a private garden! Now I know why I come in second and third at the shows! LOL This is only one of his gardens! The lily season is over for us now, but I could only imagine what this must have looked like!

Another cute pup!
He did have a few left! I love this lily! I'm going to try to grow them next year!
I love red barns and he had one!
Another cute little dog enjoying her day!
Mom and me! My mother loves going to these picnics and they are fun! This group of people takes growing lilies real serious! Every summer I say I will do better next year then next year comes and guess what!!! In the fall we will buy more bulbs and try again!
Have a happy weekend!

What a terrific time you both had! I love that last photo of you both. :-)

And that's a gorgeous setting...my heart's desire, to live in a country setting. Forget growing lilies, though. My thumb is not that green. LOL.

What kind of dog is that black and white spotted cutie?

Your picnic for the Lily Club reminds me of the Annual Garden Tour I like to go to. I missed it for the last several years for one reason or another but this year I finally got to go again. Afterwards, they had a social where they held an auction and raffles to raise money for various things.

What a special day to share with your Mom. Those are memories you will cherish forever. Beautiful dahlia. Good luck with your lilies - we don't have much luck with them either.

What a great weekend post! So many pretty and cute things to see! LOVE the pic of you and your mom, and the so cute dogs! I took several pictures of a lily the other day that looks just like a tiger lily, only it is bright pink! Do you have any idea what it could be?

You're right! I knew you were the blog friend to ask. It is, indeed, a Stargazer Lily. Causes death in cats, yipes! I found all kinds of good info on it once I knew what it was. Now I can do the post whenever I want, thanks so much for your prompt reply!

Thanks for your prayers for amden. That picture is from a cell phone. I am not sure it is good enough for Edie to be able to make a button with it or revise the other one, but I will ask her. It does need to be updated.

Lilies are beautiful. I grow a few and got one good picture a couple weeks ago that I posted.

It's amazing how many varieties of lilies exist and hard to decide which one I like best!
