I received this message on my Paws and Pray blog and I thought I would post it on this blog, just in case someone would like to adopt a beautiful cat. Doris did say she would drive Boot's to a new home if it is not too far from her home.
Thank you for reading this and if you can help please visit her blog.
Hello, my name is Doris and I need some prayers for a group of strays in my neighborhood where I live. There are 65 units and only about 4 people care and feed these cats. We had a fundraiser to get most of them spayed and neutered to implement the TNR program, which is working in keeping other stays away, but the majority of the neighbors are predominantly cat haters with an old fashioned attitude, rather having them killed instead of helping them. We have established a coming feeding station in an effort to try to keep them away from people's doors and from begging and getting killed by poisoned foods. One cat already got blinded and we suspect someone having sprayed something in his eyes...it's very sad.
Well, to make a long story short, I'm in particularly seeking a good home for Boots because he's the tamest. He wasn't born here, but was left behind when his owner moved and he's starving for human interaction. He's too friendly for his own good and I'm worried someone will harm him, or he might get run over - besides the nights are getting pretty cold. I have my 2 animal quotas and can't have another cat, even if my dog didn't hate the one I already have.
Here's Bootsy's story. He's an older gentleman seeking a warm spot in your home and heart - if there's anyone out there to adopt him, he's a sweetheart. He's been outside so long, he'd probably be ok being a barn cat with regular meals and a warm spot to sleep in and a little love every day...

Trying to find a home for a cat is so difficult here since we're overrun with them and helping an adult cat is next to impossible. If he ever gets captured and taken to the pound or shelter, he'll be destroyed for sure because of his age (about 12)...I wish I could keep him somehow, but I'm not allowed more than 2 pets.
If there's anyone willing to help him, I will do whatever I can to figure out how to get him to you. I have a good car and I don't mind driving.
Thanks for your prayers and compassion.
I will continue to pray for all the animals of the world!
I'm glad I found this blog~!
Thank you and God bless you,
Doris
Thank you again and have a good weekend!

That is so sad, I hope this sweet kitty finds a home. I'm on the other coast but I will still keep hoping this turns out well.
People really spray stuff in an animal's eyes? I guess I know this, but still can't believe people are that cruel.
What a wonderful woman to help out all the kitties.
