I don't blame you for not helping! It is in the high 50's where I live. I can't believe it is the middle of november. The unseasonable weather makes me feel like the should be so far away, instead of right around the corner
I know it's a perfect day here for putting up the lights. What a great idea! Put them up on a nice warm day before you will need them! Your helpers are less than enthusiastic, I see! Thank you SO much for the beautiful gifts, they just arrived yesterday! They are so special, and the one even has a tiny amber jewel on it! But my favorite is the exquisite tinted one of Father Christmas with the lovely pale pinks and yellows and the stamp from Paris! What a kind, wonderful, and gracious thing to do for your followers at the holday season!
We can't say that we blame you for not helping. But it might be fun to have the outside lights up and be all festive. It is fun to have everything all decorated although our Mom is a little lazy in that respect. Take care and have a fun day
There's a motel near me that's had their lights up and on for a couple of weeks now. On Wednesday night I had to attend a meeting and passed a house that had their lights on already too. I just kind of laughed to myself.
But then I remembered this guy that I know. He looks JUST like Santa Claus with the white beard and everything. During the holiday season, he donates his time to different charities and hands out goodies to kids as Santa for little to no pay. What money he does receive all goes back into whatever expenses he incurs.
One year, a charity contacted him. I don't think it was Make A Wish but it was similar to Make A Wish. This kid who had days to live due to some kind of cancer, wanted to have one last Christmas. So my friend donned his Santa outfit in the middle of July and visited this terminally ill child. It made me smile that he would do that. Whenever I see Christmas lights up early, it always reminds me of my friend.
Our mom put the Christmas lights up outside today too! hummmmmm, well, ours are on a timer and they're turning on at 5PM and we can't wait to see them all lit up!
Last year at this time, our outside lights were done except for the two pear trees that still had leaves. But it was just too cold for the Momster's fingers to do it today. The next week isn't looking much better - she is very jealous of your accomplishment.
Precious photo!...Hard to believe it's that time of year again!...I've started a new job and kept my old one part time, so my work days are long and I'm trying to catch up with my blog friends on weekends now...Hope you enjoy a lovely weekend, Deborah.

I think maybe Billy would help, but then he would expect a present after! He loves snooping for gifts!
The hu-dad muttered some nonsense about how that looks more helpful than us being underfoot.
